Mitch is a really good kid, he is a joy to have in our home. For the most part he is very obedient, a very good helper to his Mom and Dad. He has done really well in Kindergarten, he has learned so much this year and I am so proud to call him my son. I love you Mitch! I hope this next year is your best year yet!

Mitchel's friend birthday party
Today Mitchel got his first friend birthday party. It was successful I think. I almost cancelled it because I have been really sick the past few days with strep throat, but I have been on antibiotics so I shouldn't be contagious anymore and I didn't want to break Mitchel's heart so we moved forward with the party. We grilled hotdogs and hamburgers for lunch, then they got to break a pinata, they played a few outside games like freeze tag and redlight, greenlight, we opened presents and had cake and ice cream. And then I just let them play for a while. I think that they all had a fun time. The kids were really good, I'm glad that Mitch has fun friends and cousins. In Mitchel's word "I got a lot of cool things for my birthday".
Here are some pictures from his party.

Warm weekend and random pictures!
We finally had a warm weekend, we tried to get some time out in the sun. I made the mistake of telling Mitch earlier in the week that once it hits 70 degrees they can play in the water. Well it was 71 degrees on friday and so he had to get the water out- although they froze when the turned it on. Oh well, they had fun anyway!

New Easter Sunday outfits
Mitchel
I wanted to get a picture of all the kids in their new Easter outfits, so as I got each child ready for church I took individual pictures and then my goal was to get a picture of them all together. Well I ran out of time and was going to be late for church, so I was going to take their picture when we got home. Well before I could make that happen Mitch and Savanna had changed, so I guess that picture will have to wait. Here they are individual- pretty cute kids if I do say so myself.
New backyard toy
Reid wanted to make a new sandbox for our backyard, so he went to a tire shop in town and they gave him a big tractor tire. When he got it home he realized it wasn't quite big enough for a sandbox, but he still thought it would make a fun new toy for the backyard. He is still looking for another bigger tire for the sandbox.
Crashed Ford Explorer
Here are some pictures of Reid's parents Explorer that was totalled on the day of the bad storm. It was kind of crazy how bad it was and lucky that his Mom wasn't hurt any worse than she was. She is kind of beat up but overall ok.
We took our kids to see the car, and they were mesmorized by it. We have told them all about air bags (because we don't let them sit in the front seat because of them) and so it was interesting to them to see what the air bags looked like.

Update on the vandalism
Just had to say that thanks to a wonderful neighbor this afternoon we got our fence cleaned up. She showed up at my door with a graffitti clean up product and offered to clean our fence. I of course couldn't let her do it alone so we went to work. Honestly I didn't know what to do to clean it and I was just going to let Reid worry about it. It took quite a bit of elbow grease but we got it done. Reid came and worked on it and we ended up using gasoline to clean it which was much better than the other product and cheaper. But I just wanted to say thanks, Charity- your name suits you! Also the police have been by our house this afternoon and think they have some leads on who is doing this. It is sad that this is happening in our neighborhood.
Suprise! What a morning!
So I woke up this morning at 6:00 am with Carolina. While I was feeding her I turned on the morning news and found out that school was cancelled because of snow. Hello it is April 6th! No school closures in Dec, Jan, Feb or March, but in April. Oh well, I can at least turn off the alarm and go back to sleep.
Then at about 8:30 am I get a knock on the door and it is the police- oh crap! Reid still isn't home from work, my first thought is that something horrible happened. Luckily, it was just that our fence has been vandalised. How annoying, are you kidding me. This is such a senseless crime. Oh well, no sense in fretting about it, it could be much worse.
Then when Reid got home he told me that his Mom got in a car accident this morning on her way to work and totalled her car. But luckily she is ok.
What a crazy morning, but at least everyone is doing alright.
Easter Morning
I wanted to post what the Easter bunny brought to the kids. I didn't get a picture of them with their baskets, but I wanted to remember for next year what the Easter Bunny brought. They each got a new Sunday/Easter outfit, some new sunglasses, a color/activity book and some treats. Savanna got a real CTR ring and the boys got CTR ties. (Carolina got hair bows, since she can't have treats yet.) Although I found her Sunday night with a malted milk ball and you would have thought she was in heaven. I had to take it away since it is a choking hazzard and I cut it into pieces and let her eat it in her high chair.
