New Stove

Old stove, you can't really tell from the picture, but there is a big crak on the top, and it was actually starting to stick up. We were afraid someone would get cut.

New stove- isn't it a beauty? We got the old fashionaed coil kind, they say they are better for canning which I hope to do more of this year.

This is how boring my life is right now, I am blogging about getting a new stove/oven. But I am seriously excited about it. We have only had our other one for 5 years, but the flat surface glass top broke a few years ago. We tried to replace it on warranty but no such luck, so we were just living with it realizing that we would eventually have to get a new one. Then last weekend it broke even worse when Reid decided to scoop ice cream on it.

We went to Sears to look and found one we liked. We ordered it and went to pick it up today. As we were loading it, I noticed that on the box it said "white", which isn't good since we thought we had ordered black. We opened the box and sure enough it was white. Come to find out the sales lady had accidentally ordered the wrong color for us. We were quite discouraged because we had already taken out our other stove and didn't want to be without for a week while they ordered another one. The sales clerk did some checking and told us they didn't have any black in stock, but that they did have the black and stainless that they could give us for the same price. Score- when we bought it originally I had wanted the stainless but it was over $100 more and didn't want to pay that. So it all turned out great and we got the one I wanted originally.

New Camera

Carolina- she loves getting her picture taken- we were checking out the new camera.

The kids playing puzzles with Grandma.

This is how Reid spends a lot of his home time, because he is so wiped out from his long days of driving.

Reid and I. Still like this guy.

So I never found my camera, I waited a month and today Reid decided we needed a new one.

So yesterday while at Walmart we bought a cheap $49 Vivatar camera and thought it would be just fine. Well we got home and took a few pictures, they stunk and were totally blurry, so we went back to Walmart today to exchange it. When we went to the lady with the camera, she gave us a weird look and said "I don't blame you for bringing this back." She knew just from looking at it that it was a bad camera. So we paid an extra $30 and got a good one.

We got another Nikon Cool Pics- almost the same camera we bought 4 years ago, only almost $200 cheaper, and I think it's a little bit nicer. Crazy how things drop in price. I am planning on taking a bunch of pictures to make up for the ones I have missed this month, but here are some I took today.
