Sara's bridal shower

My cousin McKenzie holding Carolina

Ricky and Carolina

My Mom, cousins Shelley, Melinda (Sara- the guest of honor) and Jana.

Sara's mother-in-law Karen Williams, Grandma Call and Ruth

Today we hosted a bridal shower for my sister Sara. It turned out to be a great party, almost everyone that we invited came and she received tons of fun gifts! We had it at Ruth's house, and we planned it to be an open house. But as it turned out everyone came and stayed, so we had a huge crowd, but everyone loves Sara so much that they didn't want to leave once they got there. She is so entertaining and great at making everyone feel good about themselves. I feel bad because I took a ton of pictures of Sara opening gifts, and they didn't turn out, she just looked like a dark shadow because of the light behind her.

The only downside about having the party today was that I didn't get to go to Island park with Reid and the kids and the Fuhriman family to get Christmas tree's. They picked out a great one though! I figure we get to go get trees every year, and Sara only gets married once!!

It was a really fun day! Here are some pictures from the bridal shower. Too bad we don't have two camera's (I didn't get any pictures of them getting the tree.)

Thanksgiving 2009

Steve playing rock band- it was a huge hit for the kids this year.
The kids with their basketballs, they don't ever leave poor Carolina alone.

Here is the line for the game of Lightening.

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. It was nice to have Reid off for the day. We spent Thanksgiving with both sides of the family. We went with the Sargent family for lunch and enjoyed great company and yummy food, and some fun basketball to work off the turkey. Unfortunately my first time up to play a round of lightening I jammed my finger and now my finger is swollen and my wedding ring won't fit, but hopefully the swelling with go away.

In the afternoon we went over and had some more food and hung out with the Fuhriman family. It is always fun for the kids to be able to play with their cousins from Salt Lake that they don't see as often. All in all is was a great day over over eating and spending lots of time with family. We all went to bed exhausted by evening.

Suprise!

So today as I was sitting on the floor folding laundry the door bell rang, and to my suprise this is what was at more door....
I could not have been more suprised. Since we have been married there have only been a handful of times that he has sent me flowers, just because they aren't really practical. But they were very much appreciated today and brought a tear to my eye. The card said "I love you" Reid.
He has been working a lot extra the past couple of weeks to earn some extra money for Christmas. I really appreciate his work ethic and that he is willing to work hard so that we can have the things that we need. But I really miss having him around! Thanks for the flowers honey!

Cereal

We gave Carolina her first taste of cereal yesterday. Just some rice cereal with a little bit of formula. She mostly just spit it back out, but I guess that is how they learn. It was so cute to watch her try to eat it.

Stress!

I am posting this more for my own personal journal purposes. For the last week or so I have been getting hives at night. It happens right around bedtime. I have had them on different parts of my body, and sometimes other weird things like my lip swelling up, or my toes swelling, and sometimes I feel like I am having really bad heart burn. It is the same kind of symptoms that I get when I take ibuprofen. I have been trying to figure out what I am allergic too. But I haven't been able to pin point anything. It is really frustrating, because it is too irritating to not do anything about it so I have to take bendryl to relieve the symptoms.

Several people have asked me if I have been stressed, well yes I have been. Not about one particular thing, just life in general. I seems like I can't get on top of things lately. With the kids in school, and everyone needing to get where they need to be, homework, reading, speech therapy, potty training, worrying about your kids being successful, my house work, my job, church callings, losing weight, family responsibilities, finances, Reid's work schedule, etc., etc.... I have just been feeling a bit overwhelmed. I am starting to wonder if these hives have been brought on by stress. It is usually at night during the bedtime hour that I stress the most, especially if Reid is working, this could really explain the hives coming then. I have decided today that I am going to let some things go, not to stress about the things that I don't have control over. I will do the best that I can and let that be good enough. If my house is a mess, who cares, as long as it doesn't get too bad, no one is going to judge me and if they do that is their problem. This too shall pass, before I know it my kids will be grown up, I want to enjoy this time more!! That is my new goal, try to enjoy the time and not stress. Let's see if this helps with the hives!!! If not I guess we know it isn't the stress that is causing them.

New School Pictures

I always have my kids get their school pictures every fall. They aren't always the best pictures in the whole world, but I like that they are the same every year, and it is fun to see their progression through the years. I have been doing this since I started working at Koala Kids 5 1/2 years ago. Oh how time flies when you are having fun!

I love this picture of Carolina- she is such a doll! Feel so blessed to have her!
This picture totally represents the stage of life of Treyton right now. He becomes stone silent and serious if he gets around anyone he isn't very familiar with- sometimes even with people he is familiar with. We couldn't get him to smile in this picture for anything!

My little Kindergartner Mitchel. He is trying so hard! He is a good kid, so happy he is ours!

Our darling Savanna- what a good girl!

What a busy week this has been, but so much fun! It feels like the week of Halloween is the busiest one of the year, tons of parties, school activities, work commitments and trick or treating. It is fun, but I am glad to have it behind me. Here is some pictures from the week.
