2014 Hamilton Cabin trip

We got to go to the Hamilton's cabin again this year.  It is definitely a family tradition.  My kids love going there and spending time with their Fuhriman cousins.  We all hiked in this year to the cabin and got to go ice fishing, sledding, shooting our bb guns, and playing with our cousins.

I was quite lazy and sat around the cabin and read my book and visited with Mickey, Corri, Lori, Danny and Steve.  It was fun to relax a lot.  Poor Corri works so hard getting all the meal prepared and ready for us.

Then on Saturday night we went and spent the evening at the Hamilton's home.  On Sunday we went to temple square, we got to tour the Beehive house and then out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, it was fantastic!

We took Popper to the cabin, I have to say he was a good dog.  Hamilton's dog wanted to play the whole time, but Popper was a little scared of him.

Health Challenges

Back in the Fall of 2013 I had some ladies from the neighborhood do a "Back to School" health challenge, it was an 8 week long challenge having to do with many different areas of Wellness including diet, exercise and spiritual well being.  I was so glad that I did it the first challenge I did (Kara Kearsley) was in charge of it, I lost 14 lbs and felt fantastic.  I didn't want it to end so I started another family health challenge that went from October until right before Christmas.  It was mostly people from the Romrell family.  I had such a great time doing it (although this time I only lost about 5 lbs) I wanted to do it again.  So at the beginning of 2014 I did another one and invited not only family but many people from our neighborhood.  It has been fantastic, this time I only lost about 5 lbs- sad seeing how I had gained about 7 over Christmas.  But I feel good about doing things that are good for me including scripture reading, praying and writing in my journal.

2014 Valentines day

Valentine's Day is pretty low key at our house.  I really don't like to spend too much money or effort on this holiday, but it is fun for the kids.  They all enjoyed their class parties.  This year we only had to make a box for Treyton, it was a purple minion from the movie "despicable Me".

I got all the kids a red shirt to wear to school.  They looked so cute.  That night I got the kids a heart shaped pizza and Reid and I got to go out with Josh and Natalie to dinner at the SandPiper, it was a delicious fun evening!

Treyton's 100 days of School project

Treyton was excited for his 100 days of school 1st grade party.  We aren't very creative when it comes to 100 days projects, but this year we made a necklace made out of cereal, we grouped them in 10's by colors.  Carolina was so excited she had to make her own necklace as well.

Treyton loves to cook

I wanted to add this post because I have noticed that my Treyton who is 7 this year loves to help me in the kitchen.  Anytime I start making dinner, or any baking he is right by my side and ready to help.  I love that he likes to be around me, and likes to help in the cooking process.

Grandma and Grandpa Romrell

I have had the opportunity the last few months to help a little bit with Grandma and Grandpa Romrell.  It has truly been a blessing to me to help a little.  I started going up on Thursday nights with Leah and help put them to bed, and then every other Saturday getting Grandma up from her nap and get them dinner.  But then Leah's pregnancy started progressing and we decided that it was best that she didn't lift anymore so I haven't gone on Thursday's anymore but Reid and I have got to go several times on Saturday.  It has been really nice to talk to Grandpa and to force me to get up there and see them.  Who knows how much longer we will have with them.  Poor Grandma isn't communicating hardly at all now, you really wonder what she is thinking.
