Camping at Fall Creek

We decided very last minute to go up camping to Fall Creek on the 4th of July weekend with Danny and Reid's Dad and James.  We literally got ready in like 2 hours and were on the road.  It turned out to be a fun over-nighter and was really fun and relaxing.  We took up the kids dirt bikes and they had a blast riding around, and I think James had fun riding too.  On Saturday morning we got up early and went on a hike to the lower Palisades lake.  It ended up being a much longer hike than we had anticipated, we took all our kids with us and they got very tired (so did Mom and Dad).  But it was a great experience for us to teach us that we can do hard things.  One of the highlights of the trip was stopping in Swan Valley and getting a square ice cream cone.  I hate to admit it, but I have learned to love to go camping, it is just nice to be out of the house and be able to relax and enjoy the family and the beautiful world!

This little girl was a real trouper, she got tired and Dad had to carry her a bit, but for the most part she did great!
Treyton was a great little hiker, no problem for him, except he was pretty tired!
We even took Popper, he had to get carried towards the end, but he did good!

A view of the Lake

This was my view the whole way down on the hike, pretty nice if you ask me!

Summer Fun

We made a summer bucket list and we still have a log way to go to get all the activities accomplishes, but here a few pictures of some of our activities.

4th of July 2013

We had a great 4th of July this year, it was a busy day as usual, but it was actually really fun and quite relaxing.  We started out with the parade, my boys got to ride in the parade with Grandpa Fuhriman this year along with their cousin James.  We took Karlee Terry with us, and she was fun to have throughout the day.  We sat with the Anglins, and my parents.  It was fun to enjoy their company.

The only unfortunate event of the day was that our van got rear-ended.  It didn't total the car, but Reid was driving with 6 other people in the car including his Dad, Danny, James, Karlee, Savanna and  Mitch.  Luckily no one was seriously injured, but it did kind of put a crimp in our day.  Reid was stopped at a stop sign on Hitt and 17th and the lady came up behind him and didn't even try to stop.  It is very frustrating because she doesn't have insurance so we are going to be stuck having to use our insurance.  Sometimes life isn't too fun when it comes to stuff like that.

In the afternoon we went over to Garth and Amy's for a picnic and to play on their fun water toys,  the food was delicious, the company was amazing and the kids had a blast playing in the water.  It was lots of fun to see my cousins, siblings and especially uncle Garth playing in the water.

That evening we decided we didn't want to fight the crowd so we did a few fireworks of our own in the back yard and headed up to the Iona Hill to watch the fireworks, it turned out to be not such a great view so we ended up not staying for the whole show.  But we were all exhausted and ready to go to bed anyway.  All in all it was a great day.
