Thanksgiving weekend 2014

My pumpkin pie before going into the oven

Savanna, Mitchel and I ran the 2nd annual Massosoit 5k.  We did great, especially Mitchel who did it in 28 minutes

So delicious!

Reid and I enjoying our dinner.  Reid had to work Thanksgiving night so he didn't sleep much all weekend.

I finally relented and let Carolina and Naomi have a sleep over.  They were so sweet!

Our tree, Reid found it!

We really had a very nice Thanksgiving weekend.  Unfortunately Reid had to work the entire weekend nights, but thankfully it was the night shift so he slept very little and got to spend the days with us eating tons of food and getting Christmas trees.  Savanna, Mitch and I ran the 5k in Iona with Sara's family.  That was a great way to start our day.  On Thanksgiving we had dinner with Grandma, Grandpa, Danny and the Hamilton's.  It was really nice and kind of relaxing (if you count the turkey starting on fire relaxing!)  It was really ok it didn't burn the turkey, just Reid's eyebrows and Danny's hand hair.  Then Thanksgiving night we went and had some turkey sandwiches at my parents and hung out with my siblings.  After that I came home and put my kids to bed and went and did some late night shopping.  (it was actually the perfect time to go shopping no lines, but still great deals.  )  Friday we went to the movie "Hero 6" with the Fuhriman family.  All except Savanna who went skiing with the Sargent's and Reid who was trying to get some zzz's.  Then Mitch and Treyton went camping overnight with Danny and James and Alex.  Ruth and I went and did a little black Friday shopping which was lots of fun.  Saturday morning we went to Island Park and got our Christmas tree.  The kids had tons of fun riding the 4 wheelers and getting pulled around on sleds by Uncle Aaron.  We had hotdogs and had fun visiting with everyone.  Saturday night we celebrated Elli's 3rd birthday and had pizza at Grandma Mickey's and watched the BYU game.  Then Reid got a last minute phone call and went into work.  I guess he doesn't need to sleep.  All in all we had a great weekend, ate way to much food and spent lots of time with family!

Treyton's baptism

Treyton got baptized on Saturday November 8, 2014 at the Iona Stake Center.  He got baptized by his Dad and all of our family that could be there was.  It was a wonderful day spent feeling the spirit and spending time with family.  After the baptism we went to the church on Iona road and had a nice luncheon.  We got sandwiches from Walmart and had everyone bring salads and cookies.  What a fabulous day.  He had some friends from the ward get baptized the same day Jayden Pancheri, and Emma Gooch.  The Hamilton's and Jeff and Claudia came from Salt Lake, we so much appreciated the support from all of our family.

Halloween 2014

This year for Halloween our kids wanted to venture out on their own and go with some of their friends trick or treating.  That was a little new for us.  They had a lot of fun, and I have to admit it was kind of nice not having to trick or treat with them.  The kids getting older is not all bad for sure.  We also had lots of fun carving our pumpkins this year.  They were the pumpkins that we actually grew in our garden.  We ended up with dozens of them.  The day before Halloween Reid brought the kids into Melaleuca and we got to trick or treat there one more year and see Grandma Mickey.
