Mitchel's 8th birthday and baptism

Mitchel got baptised today, what a wonderful day it has been.  I felt so happy and peaceful today at his baptism, I wish that that I always could have that feeling.  Mitchel is such a wonderful son, he helps me more than he will ever know.  I can always count on him to be the first one to jump up and help me if I need it.  Not that my other kids don't help me because they are wonderful too, but Mitch seems to be extra sensitive about being a good helper.  Since Reid has been out of the road driving Mitchel has really stepped up and been even more helpful than ever.  Not that he is a perfect child, he still gives me a hard time about waking up in the morning for school, and going to bed at night, and he never wants to do his homework.  But we can't be perfect in every area, right?

He turned 8 on the 26th, which was thursday.  We sent cookies with him to school to share with his classmates, and then that night we went to McDonalds for dinner.  Then today was the baptism and after the baptism we had a party at our house.  We had lunch and then cake and ice cream and opened up some presents.  It was fun to have everyone over to play.

He got a rip stick, a sleeping bag and a dirt bike shirt from Mom and Dad.  He got his scout uniform and book from Grandma and Grandpa Sargent.  He got a football and a water jug from Grandpa and Grandma Fuhriman, he got some money, some new outfits, a frisbee, a journal, some books, and a watch from his aunts and uncles.  He really got spoiled.  We are very blessed to have our families so close to us not only in proximity, but also such good friends to us.  I don't know what we would do without them.

Sara's twins

My older sister Sara delivered her twin babies at 34 1/2 weeks along on Tuesday April 17th.  They did a c-section early because they were concerned about the size of the little girl baby in comparison to the boy baby.  There is a stark difference in their size so it is probably good that they took them out.  Sargent Slade Williams was 4 lbs 13 oz, and Charlotte Dee Williams was 2 lbs 12 oz.  Both babies and Sara are doing great.  The babies are of course in the NICU, but doing very well.  They are both nursing, but becuase they are so small are also being fed with a feeding tube.

I just feel so grateful that everything is ok with these 2 little miracles.  Sara and Shane waited for a very long time to get these children and I was so worried that there would be some problems.  She was a dilligent Mom for 10 weeks while on bed rest, she was a going a bit crazy sitting around not able to do the things that she wanted to do, and had to learn a bit of patience and how to let other people serve her.  But they are definately worth the wait.  They are darling babies.  I can't wait until I can hold them.  They only can get held by their parents during feeding times.  It wears them out and over stimulates them to be held so they have to keep it to a minimum.  I had the chance to be in the NICU this morning while the doctor did his rounds and checked them out.  He said that they looked good and they were hoping they would get out of the hospital a week or two before her actual due- date.

Somebody had the idea to try to do a picture on the slide. This was the result.

I love Easter! I think it is my favorite holiday for many reasons. I love Christmas too because of the meaning of the Savior's birth behind it, but there is so much preparation and money spent for Christmas that it kind of takes away from the meaning, but I feel like Easter has such a special meaning of the Savior's atonement and resurrection, there is some preparations but not nearly as stressful as Christmas.

We had another great year celebrating the special holiday. To start of the weekend we had sold Mitchel's dirtbike a few weeks ago and bought him a new/used one that was slightly bigger. My parents were down in SLC for a wedding and picked this up on their way down in Ogden. Mitch was super excited to get his new bike home. Then on Saturday we had 2 different parties and Easter egg hunts with our cousins. We started at my parents and had lunch and the hunt, then we went to Reid's parents and had another hunt and a lovely Easter dinner. It was so much fun spending the entire day with our families whom we love. We feel so lucky to live in such close proximity to them and to be able to spend lots of time with our cousins. On Sunday we got up and the Easter Bunny had visited, the kids got some fun things and put on their new Easter outfits, including the skirts I had made the girls for today. Here are some pictures from our special days.
