4th of July

We had to get a few pictures of the Corvette before we took it back this morning.

Our 4th of July this year was about as jam packed as you could get. It actually started on the 3rd when we had both Olivia and Talmage's baby blessings and a fun after party at my parent's house. Then Sunday night we went over to Reid's parents and let off some fireworks.

On Monday we got up early so that I could run the Firecracker 5k, I was pretty proud of myself, I shaved 7 minutes off my time from last year. I ran it with Sarah Hansen and we had a lot of fun doing that. Steve and Kent also ran with us, but we didn't see them after the starting line because they finished the race about 10 minutes faster than us.

After the race we met Sarah's husband and all our kids at the parade. We had a lot of fun sitting with the Hansen's and the kids enjoyed gathering all the candy. The highlight of course was seeing Grandpa Fuhriman in the parade being driven by Reid. (Mitch and Treyton both got a turn riding in the car.) Reid was so excited because he got to drive a brand new 2011 Corvette that Smith Chevrolet lent to Steve for the parade. I think Reid has a new item on his wish list.

After the parade we went and had a BBQ at my parents home. Both my family and Reid's family came, it was fun to be able to relax and enjoy everyone's company.

And to top off our 4th of July we went to the fireworks. We sat with the Hamilton's, Ben and Holly, my Mom, and Leah and Tony. We all had fun hanging out and visiting before the show and then really had fun watching the fireworks. Too bad that Reid had to go to work and miss them.
Sarah, me, Kent and Stevan before the race
Sarah, the kids and I at the parade- we were a bit sweaty for the parade since we didn't have time to go home and shower. Oh well, it was worth it.
Jeremy and Sarah- do you love his hat. When I first saw him I thought he got some hair implants. (It's a hat with fake hair on top- he is usually bald.)

Here comes Mayor Fuhriman in the white corvette

This looks like a good spot. It was a good relaxing time for the picnic at your folks. I always feel so comfortable and relaxed with them. Thank you. I love the way the kids all play together. Oh, to be a kid again.

You should see the burnt spot on my lawn where Reid revved up the car! I am glad he was so excited. And the BOYS all had a good time.
