Red Fish Lake

This year many of the members of the Fuhriman family decided to go to Redfish Lake over the 4th of July.  It was a very stressful week leading up to this trip as we had problems with our truck, borrowed Josh's truck and Reid had to install the hitch into his truck.  For a while we considered just bagging it but we had been planning on it all year and just couldn't bring ourselves to cancelling it.  We are very thankful for Josh and Natalie for letting us borrow their brand new truck so that we could go and for Ben for helping Reid to install the hitch and getting it ordered and picked up.  It ended up being a lot of fun except for the extremely hot temperatures.  But thankfully we were by the water and were able to play a lot.  And it is nice to have a camper with air conditioning.  The kids had a blast playing with Ben's new canoes that he so graciously let everyone play with.  Reid took the 3 older kids on an overnight hike with his Dad, Danny and Sarah and Alex Hamilton.  They had a great experience other than it being hot and tons of mosquitoes.  But it was definitely memorable.

We also were able to celebrate the 4th of July in Stanley, Idaho which was a big change from Idaho Falls.  The parade and fireworks were on a much smaller scale and I have to admit that I didn't miss the crowds, although I did miss my Sargent family.  Yes, even at 42 years old I still get homesick.
