First Day of School 2012

Well the kids are back in full swing at school this year.  So far so good, they each have great teachers and things are looking good for the school year.

Treyton is super excited about kindergarten, he has Mrs. Davenport for AM kindergarten.  There are several kids from our ward and neighborhood in his class, which makes it really nice.  He has 2 friends from Koala Kids (Shane and Carter) who aren't in his class, but are in AM Kindergarten at Discovery that he has managed to play with during recess.  He is really loving it so far.  Let's see how he does once homework kicks in.

Mitchel has Mrs Julian (the same teacher that Savanna had last year.  For some reason he really didn't want her, because her heard she was mean.  But after the first day of school he came home and said "she will be fine, she is a lot nicer than I thought."

Savanna has Mrs. Smith, I am a bit concerned because she is pregnant and will miss school this winter and I worry about having a grumpy pregnant teacher.  But I have heard good things about her from Easton who had her for 1st and 4th grade.  Savanna seems to be happy so that is all that matters.

Both Savanna and Mitch are excited because they each have their own "neo's" at their desk.  They describe them like their own IPads.  They can take all their tests and do their journals on these.  It will be interesting to see how they play out during the year.  I guess we live in a world full of technology and the kids need to learn about it now.
