This year we had a perfect Christmas! Reid was off the 24th-26th., which we really tried to enjoy since he will be working the next several years on Christmas. I only had to work on Monday the 22nd and had the whole rest of the week off. On Tuesday the 23rd we went ice skating with the Hansen's and the Sargent kids. On Christmas eve Savanna and Mitch were lucky enough to go skiing with Stevan and Angie, they had a great time. Reid and I and the little kids went out to lunch to Chick-Filet and did a little last minute shopping. Christmas eve night we went to my parents for a lovely meal and then over to the William's home for a Christmas eve program. It was a great bonding time with our siblings and nieces and nephews. Many of the kids had nice piano and singing performances. And we did do the annual nativity scene with all the kids and then ended the night with a kneeling family prayer. It was wonderful.
Christmas morning was so much fun, the kids got spoiled big time from Santa and Mom and Dad. They also drew names from each other and had fun giving their siblings their gifts. But the spoiling had just begun, we then went to my parents and had a breakfast and then did more gifts. The cousins each draw names and so those are always fun gifts to open. And of course Grandma and Grandpa are good at spoiling all of us.
Christmas afternoon we had Reid's parents Danny, and Lori and Ben's families over for dinner and presents. We opened our presents from them and felt very loved and spoiled yet again.
By bedtime we were all exhausted and ready for bed. We spent the rest of the weekend being pretty lazy and enjoying every minute of it. (except Reid and the big kids did go help Danny get moved out of his apartment.)
The week before Christmas we went and watched Savanna's last basketball game with the City of IF league, she had a great experience being on the Campbell's basketball team. She learned lots and made some new friends. I also had the chance to help with Treyton and Carolina's Christmas party. I didn't get any photo's of Carolina but I got one with Treyton and Santa who came and visited his class.
